Marie-Claude Stockl combined her two passions, horses and corporate life, by creating The Horse Institute in 2005.
Marie-Claude has over 30 years in communication strategy and coaching. A native of France, she began her career in New York, where she held positions of increasing responsibility at Nestlé, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Revlon. Reporting to Presidents and CEOs for twenty years prepared her well for her consulting work with Bayer, Boston Scientific, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Merck, Novartis, Procter & Gamble, Pfizer, Roche, Sanofi, and others.
She has also coached world-class athletes and Olympic medalists, and has worked with newsmakers including a former United States president, James Earl Jones, Michael Jackson, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Angela Lansbury and others.
Marie-Claude graduated summa cum laude from the University of Paris, France with a Master’s Degree in Communication. She is a certified facilitator and certified executive coach (ACTP). She serves on the boards of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association (HVRTA) and the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A). She is currently a research consultant for the University of Kentucky.
